National School Plant Management Association Scholarship: Awarded to all high school students. Selection criteria is based on financial need, academic achievement, co-curricular participation, community service, and essay response. Deadline is February 8, 2018.

New Jersey School Buildings & Grounds Scholarship (State): awarded to a high school senior seeking admission to a college, university, or vocational college program. Recipients will be chosen based on financial need and application information. Deadline is February 8, 2018.

New Jersey District Key Club International Scholarship: Multiple scholarships available for members of the New Jersey District of Key Club who have exemplified  incomparable dedication to serving the children of our world, and have been upholders of the objects of Key Club International during their high school years. Deadline is February 9, 2018.

New Jersey Schoolwomen’s Club Scholarship: Awarded to female students planning to pursue a career in the field of education. Deadline is February 19, 2018.

The Soroptimist of Cape May County Medical Award: Available to female students enrolled or accepted in a medical or medically related educational program. Deadline is February 22, 2018.

Foster and Adoptive Family Services Scholarships: Multiple scholarships available for students involved in foster and/or adoptive family services. See Ms. Markovitz for details. Deadline is February 22, 2018.

The Kingdom of Lucerne Scholarship: $500 awarded to students with a grade of A or B in history and English. Acceptance at a college or university is required. The student must complete an original project. Deadline is February 22, 2018.

American Legion Auxiliary Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship: Applicant must be a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion (listed on scholarship). Deadline is February 22, 2018.

The Avoda Award: Available to an outstanding Jewish student who attends high school in Atlantic or Cape May County. Based on financial need, academic achievement, Jewish community participation, and participation and leadership in high school and other activities. Process is very detailed. See Ms. Markovitz for an application. Deadline is February 23, 2018.

Cape Atlantic School Counselor Association Scholarship: available to seniors who write a 300-500 word essay describing how their school counselor has influenced his/her life in a positive way. Students must apply using the following website: https://goo.gl/forms/4pjNDJmPI53btAG12 Deadline is February 23, 2018.

The Richard A. Hoover Music Scholarship:  Awarded to a student planning to attend a four year college. Preference is given to students who are majoring in music or music education, but any student who has been involved in the school’s music programs may apply. The student must have at least two years of involvement in extracurricular activities. Deadline is March 1, 2018.

The Tzu Chi Scholars Award: available to all graduating seniors. Selection is based on financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. Application can be found at www.tzuchi.us/scholarships.   Deadline is March 2, 2018.

Cape May County Police and Fire Emerald Society Scholarship: Essay contest open students of Irish Heritage. Essay must include the students opinion on the reasons “Irish Americans are attracted to the Public Safety Sector (ie Police, Fire, and EMT)” as well as an interview with an active or retired non-relative Irish American of the “Public Safety Sector.” Deadline is March 8, 2018.

Kiwanis of Cape May Scholarship: Awarded to students that live in Cape May, Lower Township, West Cape May, and Cape May Point or an active Key Club members. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Deadline is March 16, 2018.

Cape May County Administrators’ Association Superintendent Scholarship:  awarded to one student from each school in the county. Deadline is March 16, 2018.

LCMR National Honor Society Scholarship: Available to students in good standing with the organization. Must complete a 300-500 word essay answering the question “What have you done to enhance the NHS chapter at LCMR?” Deadline is March 23, 2018.

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship: Available to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher who will matriculate at a US accredited four-year college or university. Students must demonstrate leadership abilities through participating in community service or extracurricular activities. Combined adjusted income of the parent(s) cannot exceed $50,000. Deadline is March 23, 2018.

American Legion Auxikiary Past President’s Parley Nursing Scholarship: Available to students entering the field of nursing or related vocation. Applicant must be a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion (listed on scholarship). Deadline is March 26, 2018.

American Legion Auxiliary Grant Application Dorothy Kellerman Scholarship: Applicant must be a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion (listed on scholarship). Deadline is March 26, 2018.

The Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May: $1000 awarded to a graduating senior. Scholarship is based on community service, grade point standing, and financial need. Deadline is March 27, 2018.

NJUA Excellence in Diversity Scholarship: $1500 awarded to residents of New Jersey planning to attend a college or university full time. Student must be a female, disabled, and/or a minority group member. Overall academics and financial situation are considered. Deadline is March 28, 2018.

NJUA Trade and Vocational School Scholarship: Awarded to students pursuing a trade or vocational degree at an accredited school in New Jersey. Deadline is March 28, 2018.

The Cape May County Bar Foundation: Available to students who foster the ideals of scholarship, public service, and assistance to the community. Deadline is April 9, 2018.

Caper 10 Scholarship: Available to students who participate in extracurricular activities for at least two years. Deadline is April 9, 2018.

New Jersey School Buildings & Grounds Scholarship (Atlantic Chapter): awarded to a high school senior seeking admission to a college, university, or vocational college program. Recipients will be chosen based on financial need and application information. Deadline is April 10, 2018.

Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary: Available to graduating seniors contemplating study in the healthcare field. Deadline is April 13, 2018.

Cape May City Elementary School Education Foundation: Available to students who attended the Cape May City Elementary School for at least two years. Deadline is April 13, 2018.

Student-View Scholarship: Multiple scholarships offered to students who take a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges on www.student-view.com. The scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications. Deadline is April 22, 2018.

Randy Nuessle Memorial Scholarship: Available to graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence. Special consideration will be given to those with financial need. This is a work-study scholarship. The selected student will be obligated to serve as an intern during the summer or school year for a total of 240 hours. Deadline is April 23, 2018.

National Association of  Water Companies:  $2500 awarded to student who will be attending a New Jersey college or university and is interested in the water utility industry or related field. Deadline is March 26, 2018.

Women’s Community Club of Cape May Scholarship:  Available to a senior female or male attending college in the fall. Deadline is April 26, 2018.

Robert J. Rittweger Memorial Scholarship: Available to residents of Lower Twp that attended Lower Township Elementary School for some period of time. Must have a parent(s) that has been or is currently employed in any phase of work in a school system in Cape May County. Deadline is April 27, 2018.

The Lower Township Elementary Education Association Scholarship: Available to students with a parent(s) that has been or is a current contracted employee and member of the Association of the Lower Twp. Elementary School District. Deadline is April 27, 2018.

Most scholarship applications can be found in the guidance office. Fill out the application, attach an essay (if needed), and return it to your guidance counselor by the written due date. Check this site often for updates and new scholarships.
